Vanessa Williams announced on a taping of The Queen Latifah Show that she's set to wed Jim Skrip of Buffalo, N.Y.
"Vanessa, I have been trying to have a conversation with you ladies and gents, but I am blinded by the light coming from that bling ring on your finger," Latifah says, joking with the actress.
"Oh sorry darling, Williams said, "I got engaged. I have had a lot of good things happen ... I turned 50 when we were in rehearsal on Broadway, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings."
The twice-divorced mother of four is currently starring in a touring revival of The Trip to Bountiful, which opens Friday in Los Angeles. She costars opposite Cicely Tyson and Blair Underwood, who also appeared with Williams on Queen Latifah.
Other than the close-up of her ring, the best part of the clip below is the resigned look on Underwood's face when Latifah brings up the engagement. Time for girl talk, mister!
