It's been a particularly trying week for PEOPLE readers, with several sad stories leading the way in the news – in particular, of course, the tragic death of renowned actor Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Dylan Farrow's open letter alleging sexual abuse by Woody Allen also got a shocked reaction, and the firing of the musical director and band at Dancing with the Stars had readers seeing red.
Thankfully, there were other stories that readers loved, or elicited a chuckle.

In an open letter in The New York Times, Dylan Farrow claimed she was sexually abused 20 years ago by her then adoptive father, Woody Allen, and that the assault was far worse than people knew.
