We knew Olivia Palermo would pull out something crazy-stylish on her wedding day, but we’d never guess she’d wear a pair of shorts. The fashion guru totally changed the bridal game in a unique three-piece outfit, which she styled all on her own.

Dressed head-to-toe in Carolina Herrera, Palermo paired a cream cashmere sweater “scattered ostrich feathers” with coordinating shorts and a full tulle skirt featuring a high slit and floral detailing (a nod to her love for prints). She added rhinestone-embellished deep blue Manolo Blahnik heels (yes, the same pair Carrie Bradshaw famously wore for her civil ceremony with Mr. Big) and her own delicate jewelry, including Alexandra Mor stud earrings and a bracelet she purchased while traveling in India.
The street style star kept things soft and simple in the beauty department, incorporating her signature center-parted pony into the look.
“I wanted the makeup to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean,” Palermo shared on her blog. “My hair was in an uncontrived ponytail, one of my favorite personal looks.”
Huebl, a German model who fronts a number of bridal campaigns, looked like a perfectly polished groom in a white Marc Anthony Hamburg suit dressed up with some pops of blue via a navy Charvet tie and navy Etro pocket square that also coordinated with his bride’s shoes
