Sometimes the best dressed race is a close one — the top two or three “most loved looks” are all so good, we can’t choose our favorite. And sometimes, the second-place finisher is so clearly a winner that we can’t believe the upset. And then there are weeks when the top look is so obvious that we’d be shocked if it didn’t take the No. 1 spot by a lot. This is one of those weeks.

Keri Russell attended the Critics’ Choice Television Awards in Beverly Hills wearing a truly striking J. Mendel creation that featured a plunging front and back, architectural detailing on the shoulders and a delicate leopard micro-print. She gave the gorgeous gown a more relaxed feel with sideswept waves, rosy cheeks and a bright coral lip — and somehow managed to make the “hands in pockets” maneuver look as effortlessly cool as it’s meant to. Delicate golden jewelry was the perfect finishing touch.

But just because Russell was so clearly this week’s most lovely look doesn’t mean the other competitors in the category were slouches. Jessica Alba, Naomi Watts and Emmy Rossum all rounded out the top five in gorgeous gowns, accessorized with glamorous jewels and elegant hair (it was a great week for Old Hollywood glamour). Angelina Jolie showed off some bombshell curves in a black velvet number to take the third spot, while the remaining five looks were all about polished, feminine perfection. (Seriously — check ‘em out — there’s not a wild card in the bunch.)
Were you as big of a fan of Russell’s look as we were? Who else was a fave from the week?
