See ya, Sharpay! Ashley Tisdale has cut off the signature long, blonde waves she’s had since her High School Musical days for a cut that’s layered, lighter and lovely, and we’re totally into her new do. (Until now, the most experimental she’s gotten with her strands is a dark brunette hue, so a new cut is very different — and super-refreshing — for the star.)
“@nikkilee901 cut my hair off! #summerready” Tisdale wrote on Instagram along with a photo of her new cut, which looks much lighter and more modern than the cascading, beachy waves she’s been rocking for years. It looks like she touched up her color to a brighter blonde for summer, and added some super-long bangs for extra movement in her shoulder-length crop.

Of course, our resident editor bride-to-be gasped, “Another star cut her hair before her wedding!” (Other recent “offenders:” Whitney Port and Hayden Panettiere.) But we think Tisdale’s sexy, breezy new cut is perfect for a bride — it’ll look lovely with the ’90s-inspired, slinky, beachy gown we’re envisioning for the ultimate Cali girl.
