If should come as no surprise that Lupita Nyong’o — PEOPLE’s reigning World’s Most Beautiful Woman and the breakout style star of 2014 — leaves everyone in the sand when it comes to stylish beachwear. The actress was snapped strolling the shores of Maui in one of the cutest bikinis we’ve seen all season.

Nyong’o, who is in Hawaii for the Maui Film Festival, selected a white scalloped bandeau top and matching bottom, teamed with a delicate belly chain around her waist and topped with wide-brim hat, for some downtime on the beach Wednesday. And rather than get angry at the paparazzi for capturing her off duty moment, she got even, ribbing their over-the-top behavior by captioning the above Instagram photo, “The paparazzi: They got me good!!! #FirstPapStakeout #ZoomLensesSuitableForHorrorFilms.”

Nyong’o then shared a snap of herself lounging by the ocean in a blue-and-white embroidered Shoshanna coverup we’d love to add to our summer wardrobe. (Her caftan collection is turning out to be as enviable as her red carpet wardrobe.)
On the heels of her Oscar win, the actress is gearing up to start filming Star Wars: Episode VII — and if that’s the mega-success people are predicting, we’d guess Nyong’o has a few more paparazzi stakeouts in her future.
