The Facts of Life's Lisa Whelchel Is Queen of the Throwback Selfie

Over the course of nine seasons on The Facts of Life , Lisa Whelchel was an expert at taking the good with the bad.

Now, she's an expert at taking selfies.

At a recent lunch with Charlotte Rae, who played den mother Mrs. Garrett on the long-running '80s sitcom, Whelchel shared a touching self-portrait of the two former costars.

Whelchel wrote on Instagram: "She gave me some good advice. (Just like old times.)"

It's not the first time Whelchel has memorialized a moment with one of her old costars. Earlier this year, the actress posted a behind-the-scenes shot at a photo shoot with Kim Fields, in which both stars were dressed in updated versions of their Facts of Life costumes.

The two former costars are teaming up again for the Hallmark original movie For Better or for Worse , airing in the fall.
