And Downton Abbey may be down a character or two, but will it still win over the nominators for TV's highest honor?
And, as always, will Modern Family have the last laugh?
Thursday morning at 8:40 ET/5:40 PT will bring the 65th annual Emmy nominations. Check back here at PEOPLE.com for the exciting news – though, already, there is drama.
Seadline reports that Aaron Paul, scheduled to announce the nominees, has lost his co-host for the morning.
"Kate Mara is unable to join us. She is on location in Santa Fe and late last night her flight had a mechanical malfunction and was unable to take off. She sends her sincerest regrets," says the TV Academy.
Perhaps Paul will fly solo. That's showbiz.
The 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS, Sunday, Sept. 22, 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
