The Twilight heartthrob, 21, and Canadian actress Marie Avgeropoulos, 27, have been spotted looking like they might be more than just friends and costars as they pop up around New York City, where they're filming the action movie Tracers.
"They're happy and having a fun time together," a source tells PEOPLE.
On Monday, the pair were seen holding hands while walking through Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood. They appeared to be laughing and cracking jokes before stopping to take photos together on Launter's phone.
The costars also reportedly enjoyed a date night at a performance of Blue Man Group on July 15.
"After the show they popped downstairs to meet the cast," a source told the New York Post . "But Marie, who's on crutches due to a leg injury, had a tough time getting back up to leave. [Taylor] carried her up piggyback."
It's not the first time Lautner has been linked to a costar. He met and dated Lily Collins while making Abduction. They broke up in 2011.
