We’re so use to seeing Jennifer Lawrence in red carpet gowns like this one and off-duty looks like this, that when we saw this photo of her wearing a crazy pair of billowy pants and a midriff-baring top at the Christian Dior Couture fashion show in Paris, a group of StyleWatch.com editors had an impromptu meeting just to discuss the unexpected look. Our conclusion: We don’t hate it.
Even more surprising? Not only do we kind of dig the voluminous pair of black Christian Dior trousers with pleats down one leg and a printed panel down the other, we’d actually consider wearing them (and the crop top too)!
Maybe it’s her badass stance, or the Dior sunnies, but the face of Miss Dior radiates confidence in the risky outfit. She also reminds us of that cool girl in highschool who would wear a super-trendy look that made you a bit uncomfortable, but you wanted to rush out to the mall and buy anyway.

Plus, it’s no secret that StyleWatch editors sip on the J. Law Kool-Aid. Not only does the Oscar-winning actress have standout sartorial skills (case in point her fashion parade at Cannes), but she’s also easy to relate to, like the time when she candidly reached out and touched Sarah Jessica Parker’s crazy faux-hawk fascinator at the Met Gala. Basically, we want her to be our best friend.
