Teresa Heinz Kerry was discharged from a Boston hospital Saturday, almost three weeks after suffering a seizure.
The 74-year-old wife of Secretary of State John Kerry was hospitalized July 7 after falling ill at her Nantucket home, and the Boston Globe now reports that Kerry released a statement Saturday saying his wife is expected to make a full recovery at home after some out-patient treatment. She is expected to return to her civics work following "a period of rest."
Kerry said he was grateful for the care his wife received in the past few weeks at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
"I've always known Massachusetts is blessed to have some of the greatest health case in the world," he said in the statement. "But we've just lived it."
