Erwin Bach and Tina Turner

Turner, 73, tied the knot with the German producer in a civil ceremony in Switzerland, says Reuters.
The pair have been together for the past 27 years – and they've lived together in Zurich, Switzerland, for more than 15 years. They plan to have a Buddhist celebration at their home on the banks of Lake Zurich on Sunday, according to the report.
This will be a second marriage for the "Proud Mary" singer, who was wed to to the notorious Ike Turner from 1962 until her divorce filing in 1976. The singing icon revealed his spousal abuse in her 1986 memoir, I, Tina. (Ike died in 2008 of a cocaine overdose.)
For now, there's no word on why Turner and Bach decided to tie the knot after being together so long. In 2000, they both downplayed wedding chatter while speaking to PEOPLE, and seemed content with their leisurely European lifestyle filled with bicycle rides through Zurich and the South of France, and homemade dishes whipped up by Bach.
"We are married – we just haven't walked down the aisle, and until there's a need to, we probably won't," Turner said at the time.
"We don't need a marriage to be together," Bach added. "Some people need that security thing, but I think if you're internally happy with your partner, you don't need symbols."
Apparently, after all these years, those symbols mean something after all.
