Is there another big celebrity hair change on the horizon? We caught up with Ireland Basinger Baldwin, and the blonde beauty revealed she has the itch to dye her hair an unexpected hue.
“I actually want my hair to be lavender,” she told PEOPLE at John Frieda’s Blonde Appreciation Month Artwork Unveiling in NYC. “I’m so into lavender hair. It’s really cool, I want it so badly but no one wants me to have it obviously.”

While she’s open to trying a color like Kelly Osbourne’s, the 17-year-old model said she’s a bit more hesitant to rock a dramatic half-shaved head look like Rosario Dawson’s.
“I don’t think I could pull that off!” she said.
Baldwin is no stranger to dramatic hair color changes. She’s actually a natural brunette, and it was her mom (Kim Basinger) who convinced her to go from dark to blonde a few years ago.
“When I was little I was pretty blonde, and then it gradually just faded out to brunette as I aged, but she’s always loved me as a blonde,” Baldwin said of her mom’s influence. “Everybody would tell me, ‘go back to blonde, go back to blonde,’ so I just did it.”
We think her current shade is perfect for the season. And Baldwin agrees: “With my blonde hair, I think about summer and the ocean.”
