Early Tuesday afternoon, Bieber, 20, was driving his red Ferrari in Los Angeles. When the singer noticed paparazzi trailing him in a Prius, reports TMZ, he allegedly slammed on the brakes – causing his pursuers to crash into him.
No injuries were reported, but Bieber's crimson sports car did get a little ding.
The Canadian heartthrob – who has amassed an armada of fancy rides and his share of speeding tickets to boot – was not happy, Tweeting, "We should have learned from the death of Princess Diana."
Recall that Diana and her boyfriend, Harrods department store heir Dodi al-Fayed, were killed when their chauffeured car spun out of control while being chased by paparazzi in Paris in 1997. (Bieber was 3 years old at the time.)
Beliebers and critics alike might agree the singer is living his life like a candle in the wind. But comparing himself to the beloved princess and humanitarian might be a bit of a stretch, especially considering Diana was never involved in an altercation at a Dave & Buster's, as Bieber was recently when he lunged at a fan, allegedly seeking to snatch the person's phone after the unidentified party had snapped pics and video of Bieber and Selena Gomez.
God save the Biebs.
