Cindy. Twiggy. Naomi. Iman. Gisele. Kendall. (Record scratch.) Wait, when did Kendall Jenner join the pantheon of one-named diva models? We’ve got more questions than answers, but according to the casting sheet from her modeling agency, the 18-year-old catwalker will now be known by just her first name.

Racked spotted the noteworthy name drop on The Society Management’s website, which not only has her mono-monikered on their homepage, but on her standalone portfolio page as well. Other Society Management supermodels, including Liu Wen, Lindsey Wixson and Adriana Lima, continue to go by both names, but Kendall appears ready to distance herself from her famous family — a sentiment she’s expressed before.

“People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn’t. What I have has almost worked against me,” Jenner told LOVE magazine. “I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn’t take me seriously as a model … I went on castings and some people weren’t feeling me because of my name. But it was great when people didn’t recognize me. I was like, ‘Thank you. Please don’t recognize me,'”
We don’t know if this whole “Drop the Jenner” schtick will work considering the success of her TV show and her prolific and significant Instagram presence, but we’ve got to hand it to her: She’s working all her angles, like a true model.
What do you think of her dropping her last name for work? Which fashion shows will she walk in Sept.?
