23 YouTube Musicians Edited into One Amazing Song (VIDEO)

Kutiman (real name Ophir Kutiel) is an Israeli musician who's probably best-known for creating ThruYOU, an online music video project that combines YouTube clips with live performances. So, his latest work is a natural fit for him, though that doesn't make it any less amazing.

Kutiman edited together 23 different musicians performing on YouTube, using snippets of their performances to make an original work, which takes its title from the song by the woman whose lead vocal track he uses: "Give It Up."

Everything from upright basses to bassoons make appearances in the song. Some of the clips are short – in one case just a cymbal wash – and some are longer, like the singer (YouTuber KarMaRedd), whose performance is the piece's entire vocal track.

Such a sample-heavy work has ignited quite the controversy in the comment section, but KarMaRedd, for instance, has expressed gratitude to Kutiman for bringing her more exposure. Kutiman linked to as many of the videos as were still available in the description for the piece on YouTube.

Check out some of the musicians!
