The magic is back!

Channing Tatum and company are ready to bare all once again in Magic Mike XXL, which began filming this weekend.

Steven Soderbergh, who directed the original, Tweeted a photo of the sequel's clapperboard on Sunday, and wrote, "It's ON!"

The sequel, which will dance into theaters next July, is reportedly a road-trip film that leads to a stripper convention – "which really exists! It's a real-live thing," costar Matt Bomer told Ellen DeGeneres this summer.

"Only the best of the best make it. It's a strip-off to the death," Bomer said. "It is a stripper convention – I can imagine if you lock those doors, things can get a little rowdy."

"We want there to be a s--- ton of fun," Tatum himself told MTV recently. "A s--- ton of ridiculous stuff that you would never see in a movie, on the face of the earth, ever again."

It was originally believed that Soderbergh wouldn't be back for the sequel. But he is involved, just not as director. Instead, he's serving as director of photography, camera operator and film editor.

"I want to be there, but I don't want to be the director," he told GQ this summer. "I want to be a part of it. I want to be in the band, but I just don't want to be the frontman this time."

Gregory Jacobs, who served as Soderbergh's first assistant director on several productions, including the first Magic Mike, will direct the new movie.
