On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge officially announced they are expecting another child, which means adorable Prince George is a big-brother-to-be.
The Twitter account for The Clarence House – a royal residence in London – was one of the first to share the news online, igniting a blitz of royal baby fever.
Since the announcement, there have been more than 260,000 mentions of the news, including more than 70,000 uses of the hashtag #RoyalBaby. In comparison, there were 25,300 Tweets per minute when news of Prince George's birth broke, followed by 18,000 Tweets per minute when he was photographed outside the hospital days later. Can this new arrival beat brother George's impressive numbers? Tweeters are certainly trying.
Worldwide, users are logging on to share their excitement, apathy, jokes and baby name ideas – of course. But with suggestions like Prince Pizza, Megatron and Phoebo coming in, perhaps it's better for Prince William and Princess Kate to stick with a baby name book instead.
See some of the Internet's weirdest, silliest and most sincere reactions to royal baby No. 2 below.
