Some darn good singing, of course.
The Maroon 5 frontman gets so enthusiastic in the season 7 premiere of The Voice that he has a Tom Cruise moment – he gets up and stands on his chair before the contestant, Luke Wade, even has a chance to sing the song's last bars.
"I wish I could be higher up!" Levine says in the exclusive clip below after all four judges hit their buzzers. "I want to swing from the rafters and I want to sing from the mountaintops!"
"That's because you are high right now. Sit down and let us talk," Blake Shelton retorts before they each make a plea to get Wade on their teams.
And Gwen Stefani isn't afraid to playfully put down the other coaches to make her case.
"These two guys on the end [Levine and Shelton], they're kinda calling it in at this point. They've been doing it so long, you know," she says. "I am so pumped up; I've never done anything like this before. I'm all fresh and excited, so I can really give you a lot of focus."
To find out who Wade chooses as his coach, watch the season premiere of The Voice on Sept. 22 (8 p.m. ET) on NBC.
