George and Giorgio are continuing their well-tailored friendship.

Speaking after his Emporio Armani show at Milan Fashion Week on Thursday, designer Giorgio Armani confirmed he’s dressing George Clooney for his upcoming nuptials in Venice. “George has chosen and been fitted for an Armani suit for his wedding,” the Italian fashion design icon said, according to local TV reports. (In Italian, the word he used could refer to a tuxedo or a traditional suit.)

The partnership is no big surprise: This summer, a design team from Armani was spotted visiting Clooney at his home on Italy’s Lake Como. And Armani tuxes have long been the star’s go-to for red carpets, from the Golden Globes to the Oscars.

“I have one tux. Just one,” Clooney told PEOPLE when he was named Sexiest Man Alive in 2006. “It’s a single-button [Armani]. There’s only one mistake guys can make, and that is to try to do anything fancy. Just put on a tux. Just put a tie on, put a plain shirt on, don’t wear a bolo tie, and don’t wear a cummerbund that’s crazy.”

Works for us. And clearly it works for his bride-to-be, Amal Alamuddin. She hasn’t yet confirmed which designer she’ll be wearing on their big day (though there’s speculation it’s Alexander McQueen), but we can be sure that between the two of them, the style factor is going to be through the roof.
