The designer sent a colorful and cool collection down the runway — and she even added in a special, personal surprise when she enlisted her 16-year-old daughter to close the show — and she fit right in with the models!
Nanette Lepore might have been one of the last shows we rushed to see on Sept. 7, but leave it to the designer to liven up a Sunday evening at Lincoln Center with vibrant designs, a great soundtrack, and a runway show that felt more like a party when she debuted her Spring 2015 collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Along with the stellar style there was also a crowded front row filled with many celeb fans of the brand — and she ended the show with a model conga line!
Nanette Lepore’s Spring 2015 Collection:
Nanette was inspired by the South of France and elements of nature all around her, including the sky and the ocean — and it definitely came through in the line. The designer’s Spring 2015 collection consisted of chic caftans, colorful bikinis and printed one-piece bathing suits and, of course, fun and flirty frocks that Nanette is known for. Not only were the prints fantastic and the silhouettes stylish and sexy, but the entire line was insanely wearable — and that’s why we can’t get enough of it! I especially loved the low backs and criss-cross straps that showed a hint of skin, giving the pretty prints a sexy vibe.
Celebrities Flock To The Front Row Of Nanette Lepore’s Show:
Peyton List was among the faces in the front row, who looked seriously chic in a powder blue knit blazer and matching culottes — and we could see her in so many looks from Nantte’s new line! There was a pink sleeveless dress in particular and shorts and a matching jacket that would be perfect for the star — and we even saw her photographing the dress from the front row!
It wasn’t just the clothing that was fun and flirty — when the models came out for the finale walk they were smiling and dancing about — they even closed the show with a conga line that included the designer herself and her hubby! Forget about the serious, stern look — according to Nanette Lepore, Spring 2015 is all about having fun — and looking fabulous while doing so!
