Carmen Electra briefly dated Simon Cowell earlier this year and remains close with The X Factor judge, so she has more insight than most on what kind of father he will be.
Her prediction?
"As the person that I had the chance to see ... a very kind, sweet, funny person who really stands for the people he believes in and is their biggest supporter, I think he’ll be a fantastic father," Electra told PEOPLE at the 2013 Do Something Awards in Hollywood Wednesday of the man she dated from December 2012 to February 2013.
It's a vote of support the TV powerhouse needs right now as he has come under fire for having a relationship with Lauren Silverman, who is the wife of his friend Andrew Silverman – and the mother of his first child.
However, a source says the Silvermans are divorcing and Lauren "is ecstatic to be with Simon."
