Shiny hair. Hot husband. Burgeoning lifestyle empire. You wouldn’t have thought anything was missing from Blake Lively‘s life, but it turns out there was one last thing absent from her résumé: A major makeup campaign.

Well, you can stop feeling sorry for her, because that all changed today. According to the L’Oréal Paris Instagram account, Lively will be the brand’s newest face. Or as they put it, “Annonce exclusive: Nous souhaitons la bienvenue à la somptueuse et talentueuse Blake Lively, nouvelle ambassadrice L’Oréal Paris ! Définitivement elle le vaut bien!” (Rough translation thanks to three years of high school French: “Exclusive announcement! We’re excited to welcome the gorgeous and talented Blake Lively, our new lady ambassador! She’s definitely worth it!”)
The star took the stage at a L’Oréal event wearing something only she could pull off: An off-the-shoulder, bouclé houndstooth mini with a flared skirt and jeweled belt (which looks to us to have pal Karl Lagerfeld’s fingerprints all over it). She kept the rest of the look simple, sporting the all-American beauty look (glossy hair, bronzed skin, glossy lips) she’s known for.
No word on what her first ad campaign will be, but we have a feeling it will be pretty gorgeous, not unlike the star herself. What do you think of this beauty news?
