That would be some of New York City's most creative dog owners with a vision and a simple mission: to have the best doggy Halloween costume. EVER.
The 23rd annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade included some of the funniest doggy get-ups we've seen to date, including a mysterious Barksy – a nod to British graffiti artist Banksy – and a furry pumpkin squeezed into a Starbucks cup (reminding us to imbibe the Pumpkin Spice Latte before they're taken off the menu for the season).
Here's a list of our favorite pooches, though we think all of the participants proved to be Best in Show.
Doggy Zoltar
An industrious genie, who is eerily similar to the one in the 1988 Tom Hanks comedy Big, invites patrons to "Take a Ticket" from his nifty fortune telling machine. He'd better not tell us we're getting fleas in the New Year.
Barksy
The graffiti artist's latest exhibition, "Better Out Than In," has clearly inspired the furry set. We think he'd be proud of this dog's helium balloon reproduction.

A Chef and His Turkey
Don't put this one in the oven! He's far too cute for Thanksgiving dinner.

Pumpkin Spice Latte
Because she's sugar and spice and everything nice, just like the seasonal beverage.
