Jillian Michaels in Health

But after announcing in June that she was leaving the show – yet again – many wondered whether the fitness pro would eventually muscle her way back to prime time.
Could a solo reality show be tipping the scales?
"I've been approached about having mutual approval over everything to do a reality show," she tells Health magazine in their November issue, revealing that she's mulled over the idea.
"It's interesting because we can talk about parenting, relationships, health – all the things that are important to me," adds Michaels, who, with partner Heidi Rhoades, has two young kids. "But then I think, What if I open up and people attack us just because we're a gay family? It scares the hell out of me."
One thing she's embracing wholeheartedly? Turning the big 4-0, having hit that milestone earlier year.
"There's a confidence and sense of self that comes with age that I didn't anticipate," she explains. "I don't feel the need to prove myself now, which I did for a very long time. And there is a peace that I didn't have in my 30s. I no longer feel this urgency to make impulsive decisions."
Her decision to pull out of The Biggest Loser – she told PEOPLE in July that, among other reasons, she took issue with how she was being portrayed on it – certainly turned heads. But Michaels remains ambivalent when asked about the possibility of returning to the show.

"There's a misconception that I keep leaving. On season 3, I was fired. On season 11, I asked for time off to start a family," she notes. "In this go-round, it was a mutual decision. I wanted to make some creative changes, but I was not a producer. I need some control in something with my name attached to it."
What she is attaching her name to these days is a slew of projects that have fired up her passion.
"I just launched a clothing line with Kmart," she says. "I'm also writing another book for new mommies. It's about how to get your body back after pregnancy and give your kid every opportunity to be as healthy as possible."
In other words, don't expect the fitness guru to stop with the heavy lifting anytime soon.
