Quick: Close your eyes and think of either Simpson sister’s hair. You pictured long, loose, flowing, baby-blonde waves, right? Well, we’re delighted to inform you that both sisters are now sporting sassier, shorter dos — first Jessica, who went short on Saturday, followed by little sis Ashlee, who debuted an extensions-free coif at last night’s amfAR gala.

Both sisters walked down the aisle with their signature super-long locks earlier this summer, but they both seemed to be have bitten by the hair change bug at about the same time.

But while Jessica’s new cut is angular and bold, Ashlee’s is a familiar look for her, just minus a few inches (or eight). She also appears to have new face-framing layers cut and a slightly darker blonde wash from roots to tips. And though we never know in Hollywood, it appears to be all her own hair.
