Embattled actor Stephen Collins is looking to raise cash by unloading two of his most valuable assets.

He and his estranged wife, Faye Grant, have listed their two adjacent properties in Brentwood, California, at $2.85 million and $2.7 million, the Los Angeles Times reports.

It's believed that Grant, 56, was recently occupying one of the Cape Cod-style homes that sits on more than a quarter-acre in the tony community. Collins, 67, had moved to a rental home in the San Fernando Valley community of Tarzana, where cops swarmed in October amid false fears that he had shot himself.

Grant, an actress who married Collins in 1985, believes she is entitled to half of the couple's assets. In divorce documents filed by Grant in October 2013, Collins's soon-to-be ex-wife claimed the two properties were valued at about $2.7 million each. She also estimated Collins's monthly income at roughly $44,000 a month – but that was before he lost a voiceover gig on Ted 2 and reruns of his long-running hit show, 7th Heaven, were yanked from channels.

Collins and Grant have kept a very low profile after an audio file was leaked to the media featuring a man purporting to be Collins confessing to inappropriate sexual conduct with underage girls.

A Los Angeles Sheriff's Department representative told PEOPLE it's working in conjunction with detectives in New York to investigate claims by an alleged molestation victim of Collins who has come forward.

Divorce proceedings for Collins and Grant are expected to begin in November in Los Angeles.
