Charlie Sheen has ended his engagement to former adult film star Brett Rossi, just weeks before they planned to tie the knot.
"Scotty and I had a great year together as we travelled the world and crossed a lot of things off our bucket list," the actor, 49, wrote in a statement to E! News. "She's a terrific gal – but we've mutually decided to go our separate ways and not spend the rest of our lives together."
The announcement comes just before the pair planned to walk down the aisle in November. As for why the change of heart, Sheen said, "I've decided that my children deserve my focus more than a relationship does right now."
The two met last November before Sheen popped the question on a romantic Valentine's Day trip to Hawaii.
This would have been Sheen's fourth marriage.
