It was the best of times and the worst of times for Alfonso Ribeiro on Monday night's Dancing with the Stars .
He and partner Witney Carson delivered a triumphant performance of their hip-hop samba, earning the evening's highest marks (39 out of 40). But the actor was also left limping after aggravating a groin injury during the high-energy number.
PEOPLE caught up with the pair after the show to see just how serious the injury is. And Ribeiro, 43, admitted straight up that he wasn't feeling great.
"It did hurt a lot tonight," he said. "It's just been a really tough week."
