Apparently, her glam squad had just as much fun at the wedding as the Clooneys themselves. “The whole experience was incredible — the epitome of a fairytale wedding,” hairstylist Max Coles tells PEOPLE in the magazine’s new issue. “It was an honor to be there.”

Coles, who works at the posh Central London salon Michaeljohn, describes the new Mrs. Clooney’s wedding weekend look as “casual, chic, natural and elegant,” especially on the big day.

And while Clooney, 36, has seen Coles for several years, it was fashion great (Vogue editor Anna Wintour!) who assured her that “Max was the man for the job when it came to the wedding,” a salon source says. “Every picture you see with her hair looking so fabulous — that was down to Max!

When it came to her makeup, Clooney recruited celeb-loved, London-based beauty guru Charlotte Tilbury for the big day. And it was a job the British beauty mogul was eager to accept. “Amal is absolutely beautiful with chic, timeless and understated style,” Tilbury tells PEOPLE. “She has the perfect face for makeup: mesmerizing, almond-shaped eyes, dark, thick lashes and pillowy, rose lips.”

It was those features (and her “killer legs”!) that the makeup artist played up, using her own cosmetics line. Tilbury complemented Clooney’s “naturally gorgeous” skin with her “Goddess” skin mask, “Charlotte’s Magic Cream” and “Wonderglow” primer before enhancing it with Tom Ford’s Traceless foundation stick.

As for the bride’s strong brow, Tilbury accentuated it with her “Cara D Brow Lift” brush. And to make Clooney’s eyes pop, she used her “Life Changing” eyelash curler, “Full Fat Lashes” mascara and her eye palette in “Sophisticate.”

To make her pout even more perfect, she whipped out her “Lip Cheat” lipliner in “Pillow Talk,” followed by the “Matte Revolution” lipsticks in a blend of “Bond Girl” and “Amazing Grace” for “perfect rose-bud lips.” And for extra shimmer and to really make her pop against the Oscar de la Renta gown, Tilbury offered up her Supermodel Body highlighting product for arms and legs.

“Amal was a dream to work with,” Tilbury says. Looks like it!
