One Willie Nelson fan is in a hairy situation.

The country legend's braided locks were sold for $37,000 to an undisclosed bidder in an Arizona auction on Sunday, according to Reuters.

These particular red tresses were cut in the 1980s and were owned by the late country singer Waylon Jennings, who received them as a gift at a party thrown by Johnny Cash to celebrate his sobriety, Reuters reports.

Nelson, 81, and Jennings collaborated on several songs together throughout their friendship, including their hit "Good Hearted Woman."

According to The New York Times , more than 2,000 items from Jennings's estate were auctioned off.
