Andrew Silverman is speaking out for the first time since the news broke that his wife Lauren is pregnant with Simon Cowell's baby.
“My top priority is protecting my 7-year-old son while working to resolve all outstanding issues with my wife," Silverman says in a statement released Thursday. "Hopefully people can respect the interest of our child during this process."
Silverman, a friend of Cowell's, has reportedly filed divorce papers in New York listing "adultery" as the reason for their split.
Lauren, meanwhile, was all smiles Thursday as she stepped out in the Hamptons with son Adam.
