If you've been wondering what Billy Ray Cyrus thought of Miley's controversial VMA performance on Sunday, you're not alone. But instead of adding to the cacophony of opinions about the show, Cyrus is simply reiterating his love and support for his daughter.

"Of course I'll always be here for Miley. Can't wait to see her when she gets home," Cyrus, 52, tells Entertainment Tonight .

"She's still my little girl and I'm still her dad regardless how this circus we call show business plays out. I love her unconditionally and that will never change."

It is unclear as to whether Cyrus agrees with a statement issued Monday by the Parents Television Council, of which he is a member, that condemned MTV for the show's racy content and referred specifically to his 20-year-old daughters' performance:

"MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate 'twerking' in a nude-colored bikini. How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14-year-olds?" the statement said in part.
