What the world needs now is slime, more slime.
Luckily there was plenty of the green stuff to go around as stars got covered in Nickelodeon's signature goo at the Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday.
Mark Wahlberg hosted the event at the Galen Center in L.A., and opened the show by declaring "everybody's getting slimed but me." He spent the rest of the show trying to avoid what he called "that green gooey goodness."
While Wahlberg declared himself "unslimeable," others weren't. Kaley Cuoco and Pharrell Williams were the first ones to get slimed, followed by Walhberg's Transformers 4 costar Jack Reynor. Magician David Blaine did something no one else has done before – he got his head blown off by a slime stream – and gave kids across America nightmares in the process. And, of course, teen heartthrobs Austin Mahone and Cody Simpson still managed to look adorable while getting covered with the goo. They join a exclusive group of slimed celebs that includes Halle Berry, Justin Bieber, Glee's Chris Colfer, Heidi Klum and Katy Perry.
And in case you were wondering, Wahlberg did finally get slimed, after being set up by his own children and comedian Kevin Hart who described the green deluge as "just like a bird dropping stuff on your head."
