You probably did a double-take when you saw Margot Robbie hit the red carpet at the Oscars. This is the first big award show the actress has attended as a brunette, and she’s almost unrecognizable! (She’s also one of those lucky people who can pull of any hair color. Sigh)

The Wolf of Wall Street star paired her black strapless Saint Laurent gown — featuring an embellished bodice and bow detail at the back — with loose Old Hollywood-inspired waves and a deep plum pout. While she couldn’t look more polar opposite then her on-screen character, Naomi the Duchess of Bay Ridge, the star’s dark wavy strands made her eyes green eyes pop even more.

Robbie first debuted her darker do — for her role in the new film Z for Zachariahin January.

“First day on set for Z! She ain’t a Duchess no more,” she Tweeted, adding, “Prep for Z for Zachariah is well and truly underway – I’m now officially a brunette and spent the day milking cows and driving tractors!”
