But here's one passionate response the pop star is really happy about: Her boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, sheds a tear when she belts out her hits, she tells the U.K.'s The Times .
"He's the first man that I have dated that, when I sing onstage, he cries," Gaga, 28, shared of Kinney's sweet devotion. "That means more to me than anything."
Gaga also heaped praise on the actor as someone who is "supportive of everything I do."
She added that her happiness has been cemented because the Chicago Fire star, 33, appreciates her as a person, rather than the wild characters she embodies in her shows.
Kinney "loves me from the inside out," she said. "And he is completely blind to the way that I dress, my creative process as it is – he knows me as the Italian-American girl my mother and father gave birth to."
Kinney's support of Gaga stands in stark contrast to the treatment she said she's received from certain people within the music business. These incidents, she added, have sometimes led to "really awful experiences with men in the studio. Made me very uncomfortable. I didn't feel I was being cherished for my vocal talents, but [was] seen more as someone to take advantage of."
