On its premiere Sunday night, viewers were able to peek behind the scenes at Phaedra Parks's husband Apollo Nida's sentencing day, just as they were for Joe and Teresa Giudice's fraud indictments.
"Life is extremely difficult right now," said Parks, who took her two sons, Ayden and Dylan, leaving her husband alone on his day in court. "Apollo's actions are the ultimate betrayal … I thought he was a changed man."
"The woman I thought was supposed to be there for me and cherished me was nowhere to be found," Nida said of Parks. "I'm not a murderer, I'm not a child molester … I understand what I've done is wrong, but it's fixable."
Continued a weeping Nida, who said he "controlled shell corporations" and was given up by a co-conspirator, "I'm here by myself on the biggest day of my life."
When Parks and her children returned following Nida's day in court – he is currently serving an eight-year sentence for bank fraud and identity theft after initially skipping out on his prison term – he lashed out at his wife.
"You all decided to come back? You abandoned me. Family is supposed to stick by each other."
Countered Parks: "Were you thinking about your family? You couldn't have been. It was selfish on your part … He is definitely out of his mind."
The couple then fought over money before Nida exploded, "I don't want to be in this relationship no more. I'm gonna talk to divorce counsel and go my own way."
"If that is what he truly wants, bon voyage," concluded Parks – the couple is currently getting divorced.
Meanwhile, Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey recalled the insane reunion brawl between Moore and Porsha Williams, which led to an arrest warrant being issued for Williams (and a lovely mug shot).
"Being physically attacked in front of the world has been difficult," said Moore.
A newly "enhanced" Williams told Kandi Burruss – who married Todd Tucker – that she doesn't "think about Kenya because she's connected to such negativity in my life."
Bailey continued to diss her former BFF, NeNe Leakes, who was in Vegas acting as emcee of Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity.
"I was team Nene … the captain, the cheerleader," Bailey told Moore. "What was I supposed to do? Crawl up in her butt? I'm happy to move on."
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
