After her stunning face, killer bod and gorgeous husband, Mrs. Channing Tatum‘s luscious brunette stands have always been on the top of our “celeb things we envy” list. So we were delighted to see Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s stylist Jen Atkin (the celebrity hair pro for Clear Scalp & Hair) debut the star’s new do via Instagram.

“I got to give beauty #JennaDewanTatum a fresh ‘blunt ends long layered-straight out the salon’ cut!,” Atkin captioned the photo (also crediting Dewan-Tatum’s richer new hue to color pro Denis de Souza).
According to Atkin, they chopped four inches off the star’s wavy chestnut strands. “Jenna was ready for a change and wanted a wash-and-go style that she could do on her own with minimal effort,” she tells PEOPLE. Together they found hair inspiration from an editorial they both loved and went for it.
We love her new shoulder-grazing cut. It creates so much body and lift at the root and highlights her features even more — and now we want to copy her tresses even more, which we didn’t think was possible.
