Julianna Margulies and Chris Noth

Alicia (Julianna Margulies) has attended many public events to support her husband Peter (Chris Noth) as district attorney and governor, but now that she is running for district attorney herself, she's the one asking for a show of support.
And PEOPLE has some exclusive images from Sunday night's episode, which features Alicia and Peter's first public appearance together since she launched her campaign.

"Alicia needs to shore up her support among police and firefighters – not due to anything she did wrong, but because Peter, as governor, has been messing with their pensions," executive producer Robert King tells PEOPLE. "But as she participates in this photo op, Alicia also deals with her own private knowledge that the opposition has compromising photos at their disposal."
And even though the estranged couple is all smiles for the cameras in these shots, that doesn't mean things are going well behind the scenes.
"The real fireworks start in the town car as they drive away," says King, who created the hit CBS drama with his wife Michelle. "Alicia confronts Peter with the photos and tells him they are as dangerous to her as they are to him."
The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
