In a Nov. 3 Tweet, Chris McMillan posted a smiling picture of himself and boyfriend Martin Sevillano, captioned with the hashtag #thisjusthappened.
Now PEOPLE can exclusively confirm that McMillan married Sevillano in small ceremony on Waikiki in Hawaii earlier this month. The happy couple posted a few photos from their vacation, taken on their one-year anniversary.
"No one was invited. It was very discreet," a source tells PEOPLE, confirming that the duo are "very cute together."
On Friday, McMillan celebrated his birthday and recent nuptials with friends in Los Angeles at a party thrown by Allure's Linda Wells, attended by Courteney Cox and Cindy Crawford.
The celebrity stylist, whose clients over the years include Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz and Michelle Williams, is most famous for his long-time partnership with Jennifer Aniston, beginning with the creation of "The Rachel" cut. A year ago, the pair – who also collaborate on the Living Proof hair care line – prompted a viral reaction when McMillan posted a photo of Aniston's famously long locks cut into a bob.
Earlier this year, McMillan told Glamour , "If I could do anything, I'd get to do whatever I want to Jen's hair. And I'd do the s--- out of it. I did her hair the other day, and she was like, 'You can never die.' She's got a good head of hair. I'm just really lucky that she came to me."
